The Jeanneau 54DS is a stunning, 55' luxury yacht designed by Jacques Fauroux
and Vittorio Garroni as the flagship of the Jeanneau fleet. This beautiful,
spacious, air-conditioned yacht offers all the extras and amenities expected of a quality luxury yacht. Our J-54 is named "Namaste" (a
Hindu greeting pronounced "namastay"). Teak decks and navy hull make “Namaste” stand out from the stock J-54 shown
above.
A flexible sleeping arrangement gives the ability to sleep 10 in

4 double cabins
and one twin-bunk cabin, though with
a crew of 8 we will not crowd her quite that much. There are two
double berths aft, one double berth and two twin bunks forward of the salon,
and a double berth in the forepeak accessible via a below-decks passageway or
from a deck hatch.
There is ample locker and hanging space in all of the cabins, as well as four
head/shower combinations, two aft and two forward.

The salon has the look and feel of an
elegant lounge with a spaciousness that cannot be found on other yachts of
comparable size. All creature comforts are offered including a CD player with
speakers inside and outside on the sun deck and cockpit. Bring your iPod.
The galley is a seafaring chef's dream with all the conveniences one could
imagine
― a large refrigerator and outsized freezer, a
4-burner gas stove, oven, and microwave. Teak and holly floors, leather
upholstery, and rugged but stylish work surfaces enhance the classy interior. Dining can be
in the salon or outside around the large table in the cockpit.

A fully adjustable bimini/dodger system provides adjustable sun exposure. An
extra-large built-in cooler on the floor of the cockpit gives instant access to
cold drinks.
The Jeanneau 54DS is designed for optimum sailing performance. Twin helms afford
great visibility under sail from either helm. The furling main and electric
winches allow single-handed sail management. The bow thruster and
state-of-the-art steering enable this 55-footer to be handled as if she were a
yacht half her size.
Our charter company is
Bareboat Sailing Charters, LLC, who advise us that they do not provide
foul-weather gear; crew can bring their own. As for bedding, they provide
pillows, pillow cases, bottom sheets, and top blankets.
